Hi, I’m Steve Chrastka, owner of S&K Appliance Repair. While we’re a small local company founded in 2023, I bring a wealth of experience in appliance repair going all the way back to 1984 (yes… the year before the Bears last won the Super Bowl).

Over the years, I’ve delivered, maintained, or repaired almost every appliance brand and model you can imagine. Having worked for both large and small companies, I’ve learned what works—and more importantly, what doesn’t work—for customers.

When you call, you’ll speak directly to me or my wife Karen.
We’ll ask a few quick questions about your appliance so we can bring the right part and (hopefully) fix it on the first trip.
I’ll arrive in a modest vehicle, dressed professionally, ready to explain the issue and offer reasonable solutions—not sell you unnecessary repairs.
If a second visit is needed, I’ll be the same technician returning to finish the job.

I overloaded the washer and it failed to empty properly… When I tried to clear the error code, that also failed… S &K appliance repair service came the same day, discerned the problem quickly, and tested the system to make sure the fix was good… Fair price from a real professional! He came over the same day and knew just what to do and how to fix it. He is an experienced, knowledgeable professional who can fix any appliance. A rare breed today. He quickly diagnosed our LG front loader and actually had the replacement part with him. He is courteous, knowledgeable and his response time was better than expected. The work entailed removal of an old stovetop, running / installing a new electrical line for the new electronic - pilotless stovetop, installing the new stovetop and testing for any gas leaks. Steve accomplished all of the work in approximately 3 hours and cleaned up any mess created by the work. My new stovetop looks and works great.
Based on the timeliness, efficiency, ability and even personality and customer report, I highly recommend S & K Appliance Repair for any installation or appliance work. I am certain I will use their service again in the future.
